Content Licence

When you buy a kit you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stitch the included motifs as many times as you like, for your own personal enjoyment. You may also gift the finished pieces to friends and family.

We offer a free “cottage licence” for small-scale sale of finished pieces stitched from our original motifs. The cottage licence allows you to sell up to 50 finished pieces per year, provided you:

• Credit Embsupply in your listing description (“Pattern by Embsupply — embsupplyco.com”).
• Do not resell the digital pattern or PDF tutorial in any form.
• Do not claim authorship of the pattern.

To activate the cottage licence, email support@embsupplyco.com with your shop URL.

For larger commercial use (more than 50 finished pieces per year, wholesale, or use of our motifs in printed books, magazines, or commercial garments), please contact us to discuss a paid licence. We are open to partnerships with independent makers, small magazines and craft schools.

You agree not to modify our kits or PDFs to stitch licensed characters, logos or trademarked imagery (Disney, Pixar, Pokemon, sports teams, etc.). Doing so is a breach of the rights-holder’s IP and is not covered by any licence from us.

Some of our charts (for example, the geometric samplers in E-02) are taken from public-domain sources such as early 20th-century needlework manuals. These are free of copyright and may be reused freely.

We retain copyright in every original Embsupply motif, photograph, illustration and PDF tutorial. The licence above is the only authorisation we grant. Unauthorised commercial use may result in a takedown notice and / or a claim for damages.
